Setting up your device before your event
As soon as you get your swiper, make sure you charge it for at least SIX HOURS before your event.
Download the MobileCause App
- If you haven't downloaded the MobileCause credit card swiper app yet, do so now, by going to the Google Play store on your device.

- Select the keyword associated with the event and tap Next. Select the correct keyword so that donations will be under the correct campaign for reporting, and can be sent to the correct thermometer.
- If you haven’t yet connected the swiper, do so now. It will ask to use the microphone. Make sure to click OK or Allow.
- You may also be asked to access and take pictures and video. Make sure to click OK or Allow
You are now ready to accept donations and, if needed, send those donations to your event thermometer.

If you need to change anything you can tap on the Settings icon in the top left corner.
Using your device at your event
Collecting Donations with Your MobileCause App and Swiper
Again: The swiper needs to be charged! Make sure you have charged the u-Dynamo for at least SIX HOURS to get the most out of it at your event.
- Attach the swiper to your mobile device and open the MobileCause app.
- Enter the amount of the donor’s donation and tap Next.
- Swipe donor’s credit or debit card.
Note: If the card doesn't have the donor’s name on the card, such as with gift card, you can still swipe it or enter it manually.
- Swipe donor’s credit or debit card.
- The donor can enter their additional information to receive a receipt and tap Next
- Then choose whether the donor wants to include the processing fee and whether the donation will show on the thermometer or not.
- Have the donor sign their name. Click Confirm Transaction.
- It should say that it is processing and you can tap Done to be ready for the next donor.
