Set or Edit a Campaign and Activity Goal

Campaigns are made up of one or more Activities. Activities have their own goals you can establish, which make up the Collective Goal on any Campaign. The guide details how to set or edit a goal associated with a Fundraising Activity which will also update the Campaign's goal. 

Update a Collective Goal on a Campaign

If you want to adjust a Campaign's Collective Goal, you will need to edit the goal(s) within each activity in the campaign. Scroll down for instructions on how to edit an activity's goal based on the activity type. 

The Collective Goal on a Campaign is the sum of all activity goals within the Campaign. 

What about the Campaign Thermometer? 

The Campaign Thermometer will automatically display the Collective Goal. When viewing a Campaign Thermometer's goal (Shared Tab > Event Details), the following message is displayed: 

"Goal Amount is a combined value of all activities within the campaign. To edit the combined Goal Amount, please go into each activity with a set goal"

Update a Crowdfunding and Peer-to-Peer Activity Goal

For a Crowdfunding and Peer-to-Peer Fundraising activity, set or change the goal on the Keyword page. Click Save to apply the changes.

Update a Text to Donate Activity Goal

For other Activities, such as a Text to Donate Activity, the goal is found on the Fundraising Thermometer page.

First, select a Campaign, and choose an Activity within the Campaign.


Next, select Fundraising Thermometer from the left navigation.


Click the Shared tab on the right-hand side, and expand the Event Details section. Edit the Goal from here. 

By default, the goal will be $0. As soon as you change the goal amount, your goal will automatically update on both your thermometer's display and your campaign (no "Save" action required).
