Your merchant account will be fully PCI compliant at the time it is set up and linked with the GiveSmart Fundraise platform, with no additional action required for you to take in order for that to be the case.
The merchant account is set up as the payment gateway through GiveSmart Fundraise, and is linked with any form or keyword created in your account to process and direct deposit credit card transactions, rather than being used as a standalone service.
Donations will be processed through the merchant account, but the method of transaction will be through your GiveSmart Fundraise forms. Since GiveSmart Fundraise is PCI certified, all accounts that are live on our platform are PCI compliant, including all accounts that are set up with the merchant account payment gateway.
As of the time this article was written, there is an error in the merchant center that causes a PCI non-compliance message to display on the My Account screen. This message is an error that shouldn't be displayed in any merchant accounts set up through GiveSmart Fundraise, and you can feel free to disregard it, as it does not apply to your account.
